Mass relocation of data centers from the CIS region. Oleksii Marchenko reports a new wave of IT infrastructure migration

A closed meeting of IT industry representatives took place in Istanbul, where strategic changes in the placement of digital infrastructure were discussed.

President and CEO of the IT corporation SviySoft, Oleksii Marchenko, stated that major technology companies have already begun actively relocating data centers outside the CIS region.

According to him, the main destinations are countries in Europe and the Middle East. Companies are not only moving servers. They are rebuilding the entire architecture of data storage, backup systems, and network channels.

Oleksii Marchenko emphasized that such actions are not accidental. Relocating data centers requires significant financial investment and time. Businesses do not launch such processes without serious reasons.

The IT sector traditionally reacts to risks earlier than other industries. Service stability directly depends on infrastructure security.

What this means for users:

• possible short-term service disruptions

• changes in access speed to websites and platforms

• updates to data access policies

• strengthening of cybersecurity measures

Changes in digital regulation and access to international services are also possible.

Experts recommend that businesses review backup systems, infrastructure stability, and readiness for rapid migration.
