Cloudflare experienced a large-scale outage on November 18, 2025, causing widespread service disruptions across the internet. Numerous major platforms, including social networks, AI services, gaming platforms and corporate websites, reported error 500 responses and complete downtime.
The company confirmed it was investigating a sudden surge of abnormal traffic that overloaded its infrastructure. Cloudflare’s dashboard, API and several network segments became temporarily unavailable.
Engineers reported early signs of recovery, but full stability may take time. The incident highlights how deeply integrated Cloudflare is in the global internet ecosystem and how disruptions in its network immediately affect millions of users and businesses worldwide.
