Sources said that Onishchenko was detained on November 29 in the city of Aachen. Schema journalist Natalka Sedletskaya wrote on her Facebook page that the German court should now decide on his extradition to Ukraine. In addition, the detained ex-people's deputy should choose a preventive measure for the period of consideration of this issue.
Recall that in 2015, the NABU began a pre-trial investigation of the theft of funds during the production and sale of gas, which, according to the agreements, was carried out with Ukrgasvydobuvannya. In 2018, the investigation process in the Onishchenko case was completed. Following the information of the investigation, the accused was the head of a criminal organization whose members received more than 1.6 billion hryvnias from the sale of natural gas.
