Holocaust Remembrance Day in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

The walls of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, January 16, brought together representatives of Jewish communities, politicians, cultural figures and former prisoners of the ghetto and Nazi concentration camps to commemorate those who died during the Holocaust.
OneNews also joined the commemorative candle-lighting ceremony for the fallen nations during the Second World War genocide.
In the west, a speech was delivered by Jonathan Markovich Chief Rabbi of Kyiv;
Alexander Trukhin MP, member of the Ukraine-Israel friendship group;
Oleg Vishnyakov Consul of Israel in the Western region of Ukraine;
Boris Zabarko Prisoner of the ghetto, head of the organization “Prisoners of the ghetto in Ukraine” and others.
Recall that on January 27, 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, and since 1996 they also decided to celebrate Holocaust Remembrance Day with this date.
