On the Russian television channel Russia-1, the premiere of the Ukrainian drama Krepostnaya, which was shot by Film.ua and Starlight Films, began. This was reported in the press service of Film.ua.
The series is shown in prime time, three episodes daily.
According to the plot, the events of the series take place in the Chernihiv province in 1856, immediately after the end of the war. Her godmother Anna Lvovna Chervinskaya raised the serf Ekaterina Verbitskaya as a young lady. And although the landowner herself adores the pupil, for all the rest, Catherine is just a serf. The girl’s life is greatly complicated when a young gentleman, Grigory Chervinsky, returns to the estate. He immediately falls in love with Catherine, trying to make a disenfranchised girl his mistress. But the heroine does not obey - and the struggle of Catherine for her freedom begins.
