Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestler Jean Beleniuk took third place at the "Best Wrestler 2019" award from United World Wrestling.
This was reported by the press service of the Greco-Roman Wrestling Federation of Ukraine. The organization awarded prizes in three categories - freestyle, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling. Beleniuk shared third place with Russian wrestler Musa Yevloyev - both scored 82 points each and will receive a cash reward of 10,000 Swiss francs. The best wrestler of the Greco-Roman style was Hungarian Victor Lorinets (82 points), and the second place went to the Japanese Sinobu Ta (88). It is worth noting that Beleniuk defeated Lorinets in the final of the World Cup in September. When calculating points, the performance of athletes at all rating tournaments was taken into account. Now Jean Beleniuk is also a deputy of the party "Servant of the people".
