In personal communication, everyone has the right to communicate in any language.
The law “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state language” clearly states that the media must create a version in Ukrainian within three years, but there is no talk of closing such publications.
The authorized representative for the protection of the state language Tatyana Monakhova said this at a press conference, reports Ukrinform.
“The law stipulates that there are three years for the media — the print press, online publications of Ukraine — to make the Ukrainian-language version of their websites or their newspapers. That is, no one will close or prohibit publishing the press in other languages,” Monakhova said .
According to her, the situation in the service sector after some time should be as follows: if a citizen of Ukraine asks in certain institutions to communicate with him in Ukrainian, then this should be done. If the client himself initiates the use of another language, then you can answer him in the same language.
In personal communication, everyone has the right to communicate in any language, Monakhova added.
