The Kiev Court of Appeal postponed consideration of appeals against the verdict of the Obolonsky District Court of Kiev in the case of high treason against President Viktor Yanukovych on January 13.
About this in a comment to Ukrinform said the lawyer of Yanukovych Vitaliy Serdyuk.
“The meeting was rescheduled for January 13, at 11:00,” said Serdyuk.
In turn, the press secretary of the Kiev Court of Appeal Tatyana Gevedze noted that the next meeting after this date to consider these appeals is January 20 and February 3.
As reported, on January 24, a district court in Kiev sentenced in absentia President Yanukovych to 13 years in prison for treason and aiding in the conduct of an aggressive war.
At the same time, Yanukovych was found not guilty on charges of violating the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The defense of the president appealed the verdict.
