UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the de-occupation of Crimea.
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution that calls on the Russian Federation to withdraw its troops from the Crimean peninsula and end the temporary occupation of Ukraine. For the adoption of the document 63 countries voted, while 19 states opposed.
Among the key provisions of the resolution: the requirement for the Russian Federation to withdraw its troops from the Crimea; return all military equipment seized from captured Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait; Condemnation of Russia for conducting military exercises on the Ukrainian peninsula, as well as the use of nuclear infrastructure. The document also calls on representatives of foreign states not to visit the temporarily occupied Crimea.
