SBU carried out searches in the office of the private security company "Storm", which is owned by comrades of the leader of the "opposition platform - For Life" Viktor Medvedchuk. In particular, employees of private security companies sold information with limited access for a fee.
“Attackers also carried out covert measures restricting human rights and freedoms. Printouts of telephone connections and data from closed databases were carried out by attackers for customers for a monetary reward. Searches were carried out, in particular on 23 Vasilkovskaya Street, at the addresses of the office premises of a security company, a detective agency and at the place of residence of the persons involved in production, ”the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine reports.
The SBU also added that now one of the co-founders of the detective agency has been announced suspected of committing the above crimes. Pre-trial investigation under Art. 182 (violation of privacy), Art. 361-2 (unauthorized marketing or distribution of information with limited access), Art. 364 (abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code.
As noted by Ukrainska Pravda, citing a law enforcement source, the office of the private security company Storm is located at the address indicated by the SBU, which, according to journalists, belongs to comrades of Viktor Medvedchuk Ivan Boychenko and Viktor Chern. As journalist Yuri Butusov adds on his Facebook page, the Storm agency ensures the safety of Medvedchuk himself and the life safety structures.
“One of the founders of the company, Konstantin Ivanov, was detained. Ivanov is one of Medvedchuk’s personal guards. He was suspected of surveillance and illegal collection of information, violation of privacy. During the search, espionage electronic equipment, which is used to collect information, was seized, ”Butusov wrote.
Recall, BihusInfo reporters found on the Trukhanov island in Kiev the training base of the private security company Storm, which serves Viktor Medvedchuk.
The base of the private security agency "Storm" occupies a plot of 11,500 hectares of land. The plot is fenced with a high fence, which closes access to the shore. This is against the law, because this land is in the capital's ownership, and anyone who has access to the banks of the rivers has access.
