“In general, over the past few years, Kiev has bought 121 new trolley buses, 63 modern trams and 100 buses. 135 metro cars have been updated. Also, 5 high-speed tram stations on the Borshchagovskaya line were repaired this year,” Klitschko noted.

In 2019, the mayor noted, they also overhauled the Svyatoshin metro station. They also equipped elevators and elevators for people with limited mobility. The capital will continue to continue updating the old Kiev metro stations.

“The construction of the metro to Vinogradar continues. At the end of 2021 we plan to open two new stations - Mostitskaya and Prospect Pravda,” Klitschko emphasized.

Next year, the city plans to purchase another 40 trams for loans from the EBRD.

"In November, the City Council approved the City Target Program for the development of the transport infrastructure of the capital for 2019-2023. The total budget for five years is more than UAH 83 billion. In particular, we will set quotas for parking spaces in the center and improve the comfort of public transport. This will motivate Kiev residents prefer public transport. The program also provides for the purchase of more than 400 units of trams, trolleybuses and electric buses until 2023, "said the mayor of Kiev.

He also noted that this year another 70 streets of the capital received modern energy-efficient LED lighting.

“New lighting is already working on the updated streets, avenues, in parks and squares, on the metropolitan bridges. - These are almost 350 objects. The city saved almost 11 million UAH on energy costs in 2018. Over 11 months of this year, more than 13 million UAH ", - said Vitali Klitschko.
