Hungarian Ambassador summoned to Ukrainian Foreign Ministry due to interview

The Hungarian Ambassador, Istvan Iidart, expressed a note of protest at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine over his allegations of allegedly non-compliance with the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine and the blocking of Ukraine into NATO.

The Foreign Ministry said that the ambassador had already been informed about the "unacceptability of his statements on the autonomy of the Hungarian national minority in Ukraine and the Hungarian side blocking the activities of the Ukraine-NATO Commission."

The head of the diplomatic mission of Hungary in Ukraine was also informed that the law on education does not violate the rights of Ukrainians with Hungarian roots, but on the contrary gives them opportunities for better self-realization in Ukraine.
