During a meeting of Dmitry Razumkov, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maria Peychinovich-Burych, he stated that Ukraine was ready for the PACE dialogue and would not make any "compromises with the conscience, territorial integrity and dignity of people".
“We do not understand the situation with the powers of our delegation. I hope this will not be a precedent. We are ready for dialogue, but we are not ready for compromises with conscience, territorial integrity and dignity of people, "Razumkov said.
The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada also noted that the Baltik + Group, which had been set up in PACE in response to the unconditional return of several members of national delegations to the Russian Federation, does not seek a destructive position in the Council of Europe.
It should be reminded that the Ukrainian delegation did not participate in the autumn session in PACE as a protest against the return of Russia there.
