Volodymyr Zelensky has held talks with Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia Krishjanis Karinsh during an official visit to Latvia.
The President thanked the Prime Minister of Latvia for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and for its position on sanctions against Russia.
The talks discussed the gradual increase in bilateral trade between the two countries, the availability of opportunities for further development of economic cooperation, and further active work within the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Latvian Commission on Industrial, Economic and Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
Zelensky emphasized the urgency of using the Latvian experience to implement reforms in Ukraine under the Association Agreement with the European Union. Particular attention was paid to the improvement of Ukrainian medicine.
Krishjanis Karinsh supported Ukraine in the Nord Stream - 2 issues, stressing that Latvia was opposed to this project at all sites.
