The actions of the Turkish military in Syria are at their peak, Syrians are frightened but do not give up. Today, on October 12, Turkey gained control of Rasulain in Syria, east of the Euphrates River. The Arab countries are not indifferent and call on the UN to help and take appropriate measures against Turkey.
Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar reports: "The Arab League calls on the UN Security Council to take action to force Turkey to stop its military offensive in Syria and immediately withdraw its troops from the Arab country." We understand that the Arab countries do not fully support Turkey's intention to impose so-called "demographic changes" on the Syrians by creating a "safe zone". In this situation, neighboring states remain on Syria's side and hope to eliminate Turkish troops from the country's territory as soon as possible.
Also in the communiqué following a meeting of foreign ministers of the Arab countries, there is a certain call on the UN Security Council to suspend military and intelligence support and any activities not to facilitate the development of the Turkish military operation and aggression, but on the contrary - to deprive it of necessary resources.
Recall that on October 9 in Syria, east of the Euphrates River, a large-scale Turkish anti-terror operation, Source of Peace, began. Turkey's goal is to completely eliminate the terrorist threat near its borders and create a so-called "security zone" so that millions of Syrian refugees can return.
