The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture has two macroeconomic projections for 2020, according to which the economy of Ukraine should in any case grow, but, according to Minister Tymofiy Milovanov, they have not yet chosen which one to approve.
"There are two forecasts: one is lower but higher than this year; the second is higher and closer to the 40% forecast of the prime minister, the team and the government. There will be two and we will decide. which one we choose, "Milovanov said.
He added that the difference in forecasts is due to a possible change in the business climate in Ukraine.
Which of the scenarios will be chosen will depend on how effectively Ukraine is fighting corruption.
"If we are fighting corruption, schemes, fighting for the law, the courts, reforming and doing it honestly, then we will have a second scenario. If we do the land market - we do it well, but we do not address the inefficiency and dishonesty of judges then the scenario will be the first, "Milovanov continued.
Prime Minister Goncharuk said that the government expects to improve the economy by 40% in 2020.
