On October 6, at an airport in New York, Ing Yumashev, a State Duma deputy, was arrested by FBI officers at the airport.
Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, stated that Yumashev was asked unacceptable, unclear questions, and was later offered to continue interrogation with another FBI officer elsewhere.
"We consider such actions unacceptable, outrageous. We expect that they will explain to us what these drilling approaches to the State Duma deputy mean," Antonov said.
The deputy herself refused to give any comment, citing that she had already told all the necessary information to the Russian ambassador to the United States.
Recall that in September, the US Embassy did not give a visa to ten members of the Russian delegation.
