Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Facebook expressed his support for Valeria Gontareva, a former head of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Recall that recently Poroshenko with his wife gave Gontarev a T-shirt with a cartoon Yuri Zhuravlya, who painted the former head of the NBU, who was hit by a car in London the day before. So the artist wanted to support her.
"She and Valery visited Marina to convey her words of support from many Ukrainians," Poroshenko said.
“When it was necessary to run the risk of protecting the money of tens of millions of Privatbank depositors, it did not break. When it was necessary to take responsibility for complex decisions to save the entire banking system of the country from collapse, it did not break. It will not break even now that the oppressors, while pursuing it, do not eschew bandit techniques. And they become bandits. Valeria is not just holding on. She is fighting for Ukraine. Maryna and Valery were visited to convey to her words of support from many Ukrainians, ”Poroshenko wrote.
